Château Peybonhomme-Les Tours CHÂtEAU LA GROLET
Rachel Hubert is the sixth generation to own and operate Château Peybonhomme-Les Tours in the northern right bank of Bordeaux (Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux). Rachel took over the estate from parents Jean-Luc and Catherine, whose family owned and operated the Château for generations. Together with a team of women viticulturists, she represents the largest certified biodynamic estate in the region. Their great work in the vineyard is complemented by experienced natural winemaking in the cellar to produce a range of wines with earthy complexity and depth that represent some of the finest values in Bordeaux today.
In 1997, the family was able to add to their holdings by purchasing Château La Grolet in Côtes de Bourg, located in the northern right bank of Bordeaux. This is where they conducted their initial Biodynamic trials. Once they liked the results at Château la Grolet, they converted Peybonhomme-les Tours to biodynamics as well, achieving Demeter certification at both estates in 2001.
