Vallée Moray

Vallée Moray is a new project started in 2014 by wine lover and former weather scientist, Hervé Grenier. The property consists of 10ha of certified organic vines in Montlouis: 6ha of Chenin, including some great parcels of 100 year-old vines on tuffeau, plus 4ha of assorted red varieties including the rare (for Montlouis) Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Côt, and Gamay. Hervé has also brought on the young Vincent Bergeron (former apprentice of Frantz Saumon) to help with the winemaking duties. Harvesting is by hand, fermentations are with wild yeast, and the resulting wines are pure, racy, and a true expression of Montlouis terroir.
